JobFit ("we", "us") is made by BTS Innovations, LLC. It's built to keep your information on your phone. This policy explains what JobFit stores, what it sends, and to whom.
Stored on your device
Your profile, résumé, cover letters, portfolio, saved jobs, applications, contacts, reminders, coach memory and coach conversations are stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, a few coach preferences sync through your own private iCloud account. We never receive this information.
Apple Intelligence
The career coach and all writing (résumé, cover letter, portfolio, interview prep and more) run on Apple's on-device model. Coach avatars are made with Apple's Image Playground on your device. See Apple's privacy information for how Apple Intelligence handles data.
Voice input
If you use the microphone to talk to the coach, your speech is turned into text by Apple's speech recognition, which may process audio on Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy. JobFit keeps only the resulting text.
Searches and live information
Some features need the internet. They send only the words needed for the search, never your résumé or profile:
- Jobs: job titles and places are sent to public job feeds (Arbeitnow, Remotive, Jobicy, RemoteOK) and, when you open a job board, to that board's website.
- Coach web search and Job Intel: a company name, job title, place or question is sent to DuckDuckGo to find public news, reviews, leadership pages and salary information.
- Job Intel filings and postings: JobFit downloads the public SEC EDGAR company list and, for a public company, its recent filings. It also opens the job posting's public page to read it. Your résumé is never sent; the fit check against your résumé runs on your iPhone.
- Hiring Pulse: JobFit downloads public news feeds (for example CNBC, BBC, The Guardian, NPR, TechCrunch and industry news sites), the GDELT news index and Hacker News. For your lane, your field and city words are included in the GDELT and Hacker News searches.
- LinkedIn and job boards: buttons that open LinkedIn or a job board open their website in your browser, with the search filled in. Anything you do there is under that site's policy.
These services receive your device's internet address like any website would. We don't control their privacy practices.
Notifications and widgets
Reminders and Hiring Pulse alerts are scheduled on your device. The Hiring Pulse widget reads headlines saved on your device.
Price
JobFit Pro is a subscription: yearly at $69.99 with a 14-day free trial, or monthly at $19.99. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can cancel anytime in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. There are no ads. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking.
- We do not collect analytics that identify you.
- We do not send your résumé, profile or conversations to any server we run. We don't run any.
Children
JobFit is for adults looking for work and is not directed to children under 13.
Your choices
You can edit or delete anything in the app, clear the coach's memory and conversation, or delete the app to remove everything stored on your device.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top.
